INVESTIGATION OF MELATONIN CONTENT AND ANTIOXIDANT CAPACITY IN GRAPE BERRIES

In this study, six berry fruits; goji berry/wolfberry (Lycium barbarum), black mulberry (Morus nigra), white alba), blackberry (Rubus fructicous L.), purple rubra) and Bursa Black (unknown) were analyzed by HPLC-FD to determine whether they present melatonin. The melatonin was detected different amounts in all samples. Besides, the total phenolic content antioxidant capacity studied fruit DPPH ABTS tests applied capacity. It observed that amount of samples varied between 123.44 1600.48 ng/gFW. found concentration (BF1) higher than other fruits. highest obtained from (BF6) as 276.83 mg GAE/100 gFW, 452.38 TE/100 gFW (DPPH) 555.73 (ABTS), respectively.
